How to get to Grenoble?

By train: Grenoble is located:

1h15 from Lyon Part Dieu
3h from Paris
2h30 from Marseille Saint-Charles
2h30 from Geneva
6h from Brussels
7h from London

By plane: Grenoble has its own airport nearby (located in Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs) but most of the French and European destinations served by Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport or Geneva Airport.

Shuttles travel regularly between Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport and Grenoble train station (1-hour trip, information here) and between Geneva Airport and Grenoble train station (2-hour trip, information here).

By car: 1h from Lyon and Valence by the A48 highway, 45 minutes from Chambery (A41 highway), 1h30 from Annecy (A41 highway), 2h40 from Torino and 4h20 from Milano.
 

How to access the CHUGA?

Northern site:

From Grenoble train station: you can pick a taxi (www.taxi-grenoble38.fr or calling at 00 33 4 76 54 42 54) or take the tramway B (the green line) towards “Gières Plaine des sports”. If you are going to the Parents and Children Hospital, get off at the “La Tronche Hospital” stop. If you are going to the Michallon Hospital, get off at the “Michallon” stop.

From the CHUGA: B line of the tramway will get you straight to the city center (take the B line towards “Grenoble Presqu’île”).

Southern site:

The Southern site is located on Kimberley Avenue, Echirolles city.

From Grenoble train station, you can:

  • Pick a taxi: www.taxi-grenoble38.fr or calling at 00 33 4 76 54 42 54.
  • Take the tramway to “Victor Hugo” stop (A line towards “Echirolles Denis Papin” or B line towards “Gières Plaine des sports”) and then take the C3 bus towards “Echirolles Centre du Graphisme”. You need to get off at the “Hôpital sud” stop.
